Dallas Stars sign Michael Ryder to two year deal

Forward Michael Ryder has signed a two-year deal with the Dallas Stars worth $7 Million.

Ryder played the previous three seasons with the Boston Bruins before becoming a free agent.

Last season in Boston he amassed 18 goals and 41 points in 79 games. He had 18 and 27 goals in previous seasons with the Bruins.

The 31-year-old forward began his career with the Montreal Canadiens, the team that selected him in the 8th round of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.

Sheldon Souray signs with Dallas Stars

The Stars have signed free agent defenceman Sheldon Souray to a one year, $1.65 Million contract.

After clearing waivers today, he was bought out by the Edmonton Oilers making him an unrestricted free agent.

The 35-year-old defenceman spent the entire 2010-11 season with the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League after clearing waivers and being sent down by the Oilers prior to the season.

Appearing in 37 games for the Oilers during the 2009-10 season, Souray scored four goals and added nine assists.

Signed for his offensive skills from the point, the Elk Point, AB native was only able to account for 30 goals during his three seasons in Edmonton after coming off a 26-goal season for the Canadiens in his final year in Montreal

Souray je super igrac bio, sad nisam siguran.

Souray nije baš bio problem igrački, zastranio dečko malo svojim negativnim kritikama ekipe i organizacije pa ga potjeralo...

The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has agreed to terms with right wing Eric Godard
on a two-year contract. The first year of the contract is a two-way
deal worth $750,000/$105,000 while the second year is a one-way
agreement worth $700,000.

In 1995, the Dallas Stars acquired Joe Nieuwendyk from the Calgary Flames. But in exchange, the Flames demanded a prospect (among other things). That prospect was an 18-year-old who had never played in the NHL -- the No. 11 selection from the previous draft. It wasn't a terribly high price, so the Stars pulled the trigger. And that's how they traded away Jarome Iginla.

Zanimljivo.. Nznm da li je ovoga bilo negde ranije..
Zasluzio je da ode tamo gde je i poceo. Jos jednom za celu karijeru..

I još malo vjesti izvan leda:

Starsi će na dradžbu danas potvrđeno na sudu, početna cjena je $260M i sve ponude moraju biti bar $10M iznad toga(plus moraju biti odobrene od strane NHLa)

Ali mislim da nebi trebalo da bude problema sa njihovom kupovinom. Verujem da ce biti zainteresovanih i spremnih da ponude.

Ipak je to ozbiljno, veliko trziste.. Perspektivno.
Ne u onom tradicionalnom smislu, ali jedan novi Mike Modano - i eto.

Definitvno neće bit problema s prodajom, postoji jedyan siguran kupac te još najmanje dvojica koji su spremni ponudit neku pinku

I moglo bi se reć da je Texas relativno veliko tržište

Jedino kaj hokej nije ni do gležnja footballu-neprikosnoven br. 1., 2., 3., 4., 5., 6. a možda i 7. sport u Texasu; a dobrano je u sjeni i šice i onog debilnog sporta zvanog baseball

NEWS & RUMORS:

The Dallas Stars are paying half of Sean Avery’s salary still, even with Rangers sending him to the minors. But they have been told by the NHL that while Avery is in the minors, Avery’s $1.9 million cap hit won’t count against their cap. The Stars may have to add a player to bring their cap number above the salary floor of $48.3 million. GM Joe Nieuwfendyk doesn’t know what the penalty is if they go below the floor.

“It’s not an issue yet, but we want to take care of it,” Nieuwendyk said. “It could force some tough decisions going forward, but that’s just part of the game.”

Ali sjajni hajlajtsi..

Oba golmana su se blizila SO.. Ali Lehtonen je savladan iz PP-a (Kari izgleda fenomenalno za sada, inace ), a Smith koju sekundu pre kraja utakmice, kada je Erikson promenio samo malkice pravac suta Souraya sa plave (inace SS je poceo sezonu jako, pokazuje da jos ima sta da pruzi, i ucutkao je mnoge kriticare dosadasnjim partijama...)

I onda penali.. Kakva majstorija Riebira za pobedu.. Sjajno..

Inace, atmosfera u AAC-u dobra, ali samo kada je u pitanju raspolozenje i jacina glasa publike.. Vidi se da su to pravi hockey fanovi..
... Nazalost, steta sto ih nema vise u Dallasu i Texasu.. Popunjenost arene je bila uzasna, mislim i da bi Kojoti imali vise navijaca..

Nadam se da ce Sivi Covek da se vrati u formu od pre tri sezone...

Jel se to nadas jer si ga pokupio..???
