Mislim da je jako dobro kada se dovode treneri iz AHL-a.. Ti ljudi mozda ne znaju kako sve funkcionise u velikim ligama, ali su cesto najperspektivniji, imaju volju, zelju da uspeju, upornost...
A cesto i znaju vise od nekih koji se vecito motaju unaokolo..

Inace Panthersi nastavljaju sa njihovim nenadjebivim marketingom.. Znam da sam video negde neku ludu predsezonsku ponudu... A ne mogu ni da zamislim sta jos spremaju..

Tomas Vokoun told a Czech newspaper that he’s not thinking about taking the offer from Avangard Omsk of the KHL as he wants to remain in the NHL. The paper is saying that Vokoun has heard from the Flyers and from the Coyotes.
“I would not be displeased if I got a good offer from Floria and accepted it,” the paper quotes Vokoun as saying. “But if I happen to get an offer from a team that might have a chance to challenge for the Stanley Cup, now, that might be irresistible.”

When asked which team, Vokoun said “Like Colorado.”

Panthers eyeing Flyers winger?



Besides pursuing free agents, the Panthers also will explore trading for players from teams up against the cap, with Philadelphia winger Kris Versteeg among names drawing speculation.

I timovima je jasno da se on nije bas snasao najbolje u Flyersima, i da ako bi Flyersi hteli nekog da se odreknu (a morali bi zbog G, novih ugovora i svega ), onda bi im najlakse verovatno bilo da se odreknu njega, posto kvalitetnih F vec imaju dosta..
Iskreno, msm da bi cak Verstig bio pun pogodak na Floridi.. Sto da ne?
Mozda bi mu prijala klima i to.. I svakako manji pritisak sa jedne strane, a sa druge bi bio jedan od vodja ekipe, sto moze da mu da i boost..

GM je glavni razlog ako ga dovedu. On ga je doveo i u Chicago ja mislim.

Versteeg i trejdu za Bergforsa Vise nego dobro za Philli

Campbell agrees to Florida deal



In need to reach the new salary-cap floor of $48.3 million, the Florida Panthers have some money to spend. On Friday night, Brian Campbell agreed to waive his no-trade clause with the Chicago Blackhawks in order to join the Panthers.

In exchange, the Blackhawks will receive left wing Rostislav Olesz from Florida. Olesz, 25, had 6 goals and 11 assists in 44 games for the Panthers this season.

Campbell, 32, had 27 points and was a plus-28 this past season for the Blackhawks. The former sixth-round draft pick has 312 points in 11 seasons in the League. He has 19 goals and 98 assists in 215 regular-season contests with the Blackhawks since signing with the organization as a free agent prior to the 2008-09 season and has 4 goals and 14 assists in 43 postseason games.

Campbell still has five years left in his current contract at $7.1 million per year, while Olesz has three years remaining at $3.125 million annually.

A native of Bilovec, Czech Republic, Olesz has logged extensive international experience for his native country at the U-18 World Championships, World Junior Championships and World Championships. He was also part of the Czech Republic's bronze-medal winning club at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino.

Smatra se da Huberdau jos nije fizicki spreman za NHL, ali svima je jasno da je pravi madjionicar. Da li ce ga Panthersi koristiti ove godine?

SUNRISE, Fla. -- The Florida Panthers have three days to convince Tomas Kopecky not to become an unrestricted free agent.
The NHL team acquired his rights from Chicago on Monday for a seventh-round draft pick.
Kopecky is due to become a free agent on Friday.
The 29-year-old forward had 42 points (15-27) in 81 games for the Blackhawks last season while earning US$1.2 million.
Florida still needs to add more than $20 million in payroll to reach the salary floor next year.
