SashaMTL ::Prosjecna cijena ulaznica je 82$, treca po skupoci u NHL, odmah poslije Toronta i Montreala, znaci da je prosjecna cijena sezonskih ulaznica vise od 3000$...Mislim da je to previse za Winnipeg, koji ima 700.000 stanovnika i slabu ekonomiju (firme koje bi kupovale korporativne loze)

Ali ipak, ne sumnjam da ce pasti 13 000 predsezonskih.. Jer su ih sada tako napalili..

Zato su i napravili ovaj ugovor na par godina kada kupujes kartu..

s obzirom da OVA SEZONA jos nije gotova, to jeste tacno.
sa druge strane, nije bitno istok ili zapad, bitno je da treba ostaviti temu sa imenom thrashersa i ako treba zakljucati, a novu otvoriti za novi tim!

Earlier today, we,
along with our partners, signed an asset purchase agreement to sell
the Atlanta Thrashers to True North Sports and Entertainment. If
ratified by the NHL, Commissioner Bettman and the league's Board of
Governors, this will result in the relocation of the Atlanta Thrashers
to Winnipeg, Canada beginning with the 2011-2012 season.

It's extremely disappointing to all of us that it became necessary after
all other options were exhausted. We want to express our gratitude to
you, the fans, for the years of dedication you have offered to the
Atlanta Thrashers.

As many of you know, for some time we have been seeking a buyer for the
team or a partner willing to join with us in continuing to fund the
team. We hired an investment banking firm to seek out potential
investors with the expressed goal of finding someone who would keep the
team here in Atlanta. In recent months, we openly indicated a growing
urgency to secure assistance in off-setting our operating losses in
hopes that our public plea would produce investors who, to that point,
had eluded us.

After extensive effort, nobody has come forward. As a result, we had no
choice but to explore the investment option presented to us by the NHL
in the form of True North Sports and Entertainment.

Relocation of the Thrashers is not the outcome that any of us ultimately
wanted. We knew when we purchased the club in 2004, that professional
sports teams are seldom, if ever, money-making investments but rather
vital community assets. We believed in the overall impact that the team
had on the sports landscape of Atlanta, and over the past seven years,
invested a significant amount of money into what we felt was an
integral piece of the greater metropolitan Atlanta area. We are truly
grateful to have been a part of this city's professional hockey
history, to have made an indelible impact on the community through our
players' outreach, our organization's activities and our foundation's
donations, and most of all, to have been a part of paying tribute to
you, our fans, each and every time our team stepped on the ice.

Thank you for the opportunity to be entertained, thrilled and inspired
alongside you by Atlanta Thrashers hockey. None of this would have been
possible without your support.

WINNIPEG -- David Kehler remembers the day 15 years ago when the Winnipeg Jets played their last game.
"I can't tell you how much that team meant to me," said Kehler, 42.
"It was like a close family member had died when they left. I was absolutely devastated."
But now Kehler is focused on the future and the new NHL team that
will begin playing in the Manitoba capital this fall. Winnipeg's True
North Sports and Entertainment announced Tuesday that it had purchased
the Atlanta Thrashers and was moving the team in time for the 2011-12
season.
"Summer is so short here but we can hardly wait for winter," Kehler
said Wednesday as he outlined how he and a friend plan on splitting
season tickets in the upper bowl of the MTS Centre, the downtown arena
where the as-yet unnamed team will play.
Kehler, who had season tickets with his grandfather for the Jets, is
one of the 13,000 people True North wants to sign on to watch the new
team. It's a guaranteed fan base NHL commissioner Gary Bettman has said
would be good to throw on the table when the league's board of governors
meets to approve the move June 21.
Since Kehler wasn't a season-ticket holder for the Manitoba Moose,
the American Hockey League team that has called the MTS Centre home, he
will have to wait until Saturday. People with Moose season tickets got a
jump on the rush with a pre-sale that started Wednesday.
A True North website ticket meter updated at 4:30 p.m. CDT each day
showed that within the first 3 1/2 hours, fans had snapped up 1,870
tickets.
The online market Kijiji was full of others also eager to get a headstart by getting a pass from Moose regulars.
"If u don't want to purchase NHL season tickets please let me know
I'd die to take your place in line!!!!!." wrote one eager hopeful from
Kenora, Ont., about a 2 1/2 hour drive east of Winnipeg.
Another fan from Winnipeg was trying the same tactic.
"If you were a Manitoba Moose season ticket holder please contact me
if you are not going to be purchasing NHL season tickets. I will buy
your presale password off you. I am a huge fan and am definitely not
purchasing this presale so I can buy tickets to scalp. Me and 3 friends
will be attending all 41 games !!! Thanks !!!!! GO JETS GO !!!!!"
Others, like Kehler, were seeking partners to share the cost, which
ranges from $1,755 to $5,805 for a full season. That works out to an
average price of $82 a game, higher than most other Canadian teams,
except for Montreal and Toronto. But with just over 15,000 seats, the
MTS Centre is also the smallest arena in the league.
Kehler said he was pleased to see the top price as low as it was. He feared it might be a lot higher.
"We think we've hit the sweet spot on ticket prices," said True North president Jim Ludwig.
There's still the issue of the new team's name. That's expected to happen before the board of governors meets.
Lots of possibilities have been kicked around such as the Manitoba
Threshers -- which sounds a lot like the team's current name but refers
instead to Manitoba's agricultural heritage rather than a bird -- or the
Manitoba Falcons.
The Winnipeg Falcons were the largely Icelandic team that won
Canada's first Olympic hockey gold medal at the 1920 games in Antwerp.
But many fans seem to favour bringing back the Winnipeg "Jets" and Kehler is a leading proponent.
He started a petition last fall at

adopt the name if it secured an NHL franchise.
Since the announcement, signatures have been flooding in, he said.
"I'm thinking it's close to 1,000 since yesterday, if not more."
The petition had close to 7,000 signatures on it as of Wednesday

U Quebecu su desavanja uvezi arene zapala u corsokak izazvan time sto odredjene politicke strukture (poslanici u skupstini) prijete da obore ugovor potpisan izmedju gradonacelnika i kompanije Quebecor jer nije bila odrzana licitacija, odnosno ponuda i drugim zainteresovanima za upravljanje arenom.

Videcemo kolko ce proci do prve sledece selidbe.. Kojoti u sezoni 12-13 stvarno izgleda nerealno..

Betmen je takodje izjavio da su 30 ekipa u odlicnom finansijskom stanju i to ponavlja vec godinama.
Winnipeg kao jedan od uslova za dobijanje ekipe ima i to da mora da proda 13.000 sezonskih ulaznica u periodu od bar 3 godine (zato i prodaju ulaznice uz onaj ugovor 3-5 godina) MTS Centar ima samo 15.000 mjesta bez mogucnosti nadogradnje, kao da su ga namjerno pravili samo za AHL. Ja se bojim da ce, ako u Winnipegu ne bude funkcionisalo, Betman to uzeti kao primjer da je povratak NHL u Kanadu totalni fijasko i da je bilo bolje preseliti Thrasherse u Kansas City.

SashaMTL ::Ja se bojim da ce, ako u Winnipegu ne bude funkcionisalo, Betman to uzeti kao primjer da je povratak NHL u Kanadu totalni fijasko i da je bilo bolje preseliti Thrasherse u Kansas City.

Ma nece se to desiti.. Skroz su ih napalili tamo, sada bi mogli i govno da im prodaju, a ne NHL hokej..
Mislim da ce tu biti ogromne reakcije u celoj drzavi i na samu pomenu ponovnog odlaska Jetsa (ajde da ih tako nazovemo).. Barem u sledecih 10 godina..

Nego, cak i da ne prodaju tih 13 000 (a opet kazem da msm da hoce i pored zaista prevelikih cena karata), Jetsi deluju prilicno sigurno za narednih 5 sezona barem..
