Matheson doesn’t see the Ducks trading Ryan Getzlaf. A league executive said that Bobby Ryan is the most likely to be moved. Philadelphia seems like a logical bet for Ryan. Matheson can see James van Riemsdyk in a package. The Ducks might ask for Brayden Schenn and may ask for a defenseman like Braydon Coburn. Sean Couturier is off-limits. The Maple Leafs would love Getzlaf but Burke may not have the pieces to get him. What would he offer: Lupul, Gardiner or Kadri? The Oilers would be interested. Nugent-Hopkins, Hall and Eberle are untouchable which would leave players like: Sam Gagner, Ladislav Smid, Tom Gilbert, Magnus Paajarvi, Oscar Klefbom, Tyler Pitlick, Teemu Hartikainen, Jeff Petry. The Blackhawks are looking for another defenseman with Hurricanes Tim Gleason or Bryan Allen making sense. They’d like Lubomir Visnovsky, but he under contract for next year with a $3 million salary but a $5.6 million cap hit. The Capitals, Penguins and Sharks could be interested in Hurricanes winger Tuomo Ruutu as a rental.

The Ducks have signed defenseman Francois Beauchemin
to a three-year contract extension through the 2014-15 NHL season. Per
club policy, no financial terms of the deal were disclosed.

“Francois is a dedicated, versatile and hard-working defenseman who is
committed to our organization,” said Ducks Executive Vice
President/General Manager Bob Murray. “We are extremely pleased to have
him under contract for the next three years.”

Beauchemin, 31 (6/4/80), was a key member of the Ducks’ 2007 Stanley Cup
championship club. The 6-0, 204-pound defenseman has appeared in 306
career regular season games with Anaheim, collecting 30-81=111 points
with 214 penalty minutes (PIM). Among all-time defensive leaders,
Beauchemin ranks fifth in scoring, goals and assists, and tied for
fourth in game-winning goals (8) and overtime goals (2). He has also
played 61 playoff games with the Ducks, scoring 8-12=20 points with 70
PIM. He recorded 4-4=8 points in 20 games during the club’s 2007 Stanley
Cup run, ranking third in the NHL in average time-on-ice (30:33 TOI).
He has two of the three multi-goal games by a defenseman in club playoff
history.

"I'm really excited to be here another three years," Beauchemin said.
"We have a great group of guys and good young players. We're going to
have a good team for awhile. It's just a matter of us keeping playing
the way we've been playing lately.

"People don't know this, but it is a lot of stress on the players and
their families to not know what's going to happen in the future. When
you get those extensions, it just feels great. Everyone is a lot more
relaxed at home and we can move on and think about the future."

A native of Sorel, Quebec, Beauchemin has appeared in 45 games with
Anaheim this season, scoring 6-12=18 points with a +1 rating and 18 PIM.
He is currently on pace for a 33-point season, which would mark his
highest point total since scoring 36 in 2005-06 with Anaheim and
Columbus. Among NHL leaders, Beauchemin ranks eighth in average TOI
(25:44) and second in shorthanded TOI per game (4:39). He also leads
Anaheim defensemen in goals and co-leads in scoring. On Jan. 18 vs.
Phoenix, Beauchemin tied his career high in goals and points (2-1=3) in a
6-2 win, giving the blueliner 2-5=7 points in the last six games with a
+10 rating over the last seven contests.

"He’s playing great," Ducks head coach Bruce Boudreau said. "From the
first day I got here. He’s a great character guy, can log a lot of
minutes, can play different roles for you at any time, big heart. What
team can’t use a player like that? To lock him in for the time that Bob
[Murray] did, I thought he did a great job. It’s good for Beauch as
well."

Selected by Montreal in the third round (75th overall) of the 1998 NHL
Entry Draft, Beauchemin has scored 37-114=151 points with 274 PIM in 454
games with Anaheim, Toronto, Columbus and Montreal. He was originally
acquired by Anaheim from Columbus with Tyler Wright in exchange for
Sergei Fedorov and a fifth-round selection in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft
on Nov. 15, 2005. After his original stint in Anaheim, Beauchemin signed
a three-year contract with Toronto as a free agent on July 6, 2009
before being reacquired by the Ducks in exchange for Joffrey Lupul and
Jake Gardiner on Feb. 9, 2011. He finished fifth in the NHL with 182
blocked shots in 2010-11 and fourth in total minutes played (2093:23) in
2007-08, averaging 25+ minutes in both that season (25:31) and in
2006-07 (25:28).

Zabavna utakmica u Honda Centru.
Ottawa mi deluje opasnije,da nije Hillera Ducksi bi sigurno primili PP gol.
U odbrani delujemo malo pogubljeno,mada imamo visok broj blokiranih suteva. Ipak,moram opet reci da PP jako LOSE branimo. Visnovsky igra odlicno.
Sto se Sens-a tice Anderson brani ko lud (mada i ne bi morao ).
Komentatori smaraju sa All Star utakmicom.

Odlicna zavrsnica 2/3! Perry za 1:0 na asistenciju Bobija i Geclafa,a onda Visnovsky za 2:0,mada je to bio OG. Anderson spasao Ottawu i odrzava je u igri. Odlicno momci,samo nastavite da cepate!

Hileru kao da se ukljucio neki prekidac...

Hiller fenomenalan! 5a vezana pobeda kod kuce,7 u 9 utakmica.
Primili smo malo glupavo gol,ti odbici moraju da se ciste,ali ok. Blake se i nije proslavio. Ovaj Karlsson iz Ottawa-e je extra igrao. Bilo ga je svuda na ledu.

In January, the Ducks have posted an 8-1-1 record, tied for the most
points in the NHL (17, also St. Louis & Ottawa). In addition, the
club’s 3.70 goals-per-game output in January ranks second in the NHL
(Boston has averaged 3.82 goals-per-game over 11 contests).

- The Ducks have a standings point streak of nine games (8-0-1),
equaling the longest active streak in the NHL (also St. Louis, 8-0-1).
This is Anaheim’s longest standings point streak since a nine-game
streak from Oct. 21-Nov. 5, 2008 (8-0-1). The club has outscored its
opponents 36-16 during the nine-game streak.

- Anaheim has won five consecutive games, the club’s longest win streak since Nov. 3-12, 2010 (six-game streak).

- The Ducks have also won six straight games at HOME, the second-longest
current streak in the NHL (Detroit has 16 straight wins at home). The
six-game streak is Anaheim’s longest at HOME since a franchise-record
11-game streak from Dec. 8, 2009 – Feb. 10, 2010.

- On Jan. 6, the Ducks were 20 points behind then 8th-place Nashville.
After going 8-0-1, the Ducks have cut the deficit to 11 points behind
8th-place Colorado (Ducks also have three games in hand).

Rumour: Corey Perry to Vancouver Canucks

Say this about the Canucks’ trade rumours with Anaheim: They are getting better.

Last week, it was Vancouver’s supposed interest in George Parros, which was quickly shot down as a possibility. This week it’s a former Stanley Cup and Hart Trophy winner on his way to Vancouver.

As the rumour goes, Enrico Ciccone, on the TV show ”Le Match,” said Patrice Brisebois claims a trade is being considered which would send Corey Perry to the Canucks for Cory Schneider, Mason Raymond and Keith Ballard.

We assume the Canucks will also have to throw in a third-round pick.

The rumour, which features the same three players you see in just about every Canucks rumour these days, looks great for Vancouver. The Canucks get to offload Ballard’s contract along with acquiring the nasty, playmaking, point-producing Perry, who put up 50 goals last year.

How do the Ducks fare in this rumour? Well, they do get the ready-for-prime-time Schneider. But they still have Jonas Hiller, signed for a couple more years at $4.5 million.

They’d still have to sign pending restricted free agent Raymond, and figure out what to do with Ballard, who is a sixth D-man in Vancouver making $4.2 million a year.

So, no, they would not fare very well at all.

Ovo nema nekog smisla za Duckse, mada njima treba neka dubina, to je tacno..
Ali uzeti ove ugovore (tj. Ballardov najvise, i Raymonda kojeg onda moraju da potpisu), a dati Perryja.. Ne znam bas, nema nekog smisla..
